Because of their continued exemplary performance and their emergence as a leader over the past year, the coaches and officers of the Myers Park High School Speech & Debate Team announced today the following individuals as 2008-09 officers. They have the dedication, maturity, responsibility, and attitude necessary to lead our program.

The 2008 Debanquet will be held Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at 6:00. The event will be located in the Martha Bowles Parish Hall at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Uptown Charlotte and will be catered by La-tea-da’s Catering and Events. Team members and class students and their families are invited.

As always, the banquet will celebrate our team – and our rich 43 year history. The banquet will feature performances from our IE team, recollections, pictures, funny stories, and, of course, the Westies.

A formal invitation will be mailed to your house with further information on the event, including information on tickets and reservations. Tickets and reservations are required; the cost (which is still being worked out) will be roughly $12 per person.

Reservations will be made online at www.mpdebate.org and will begin being taken Monday, May 12.
