For the First Time in the 21 year history of the Bob Jones Academy Tournament,

the Myers Park Speech and Debate team placed 1st overall as the champion school.

The tournament is the only one that hosts the majority of South Carolina teams and the majority of the best North Carolina teams. This is a huge honor and speaks volumes about our program this year.

Special thanks to all of the individuals who placed in their event to make this happen, and to the adults and coaches who accompanied the 75 students on this trip, especially in the IE events, which we have never before placed in consistently at this tournament, and in Congressional Debate, which helped us top the gigantic Morristown West from Tennessee. Myers Park placed someone in every event that we entered. Congratulations!
