On behalf of the Myers Park Speech and Debate team we would like to extend a welcome to all prospective debaters for the 2007-2008 season. The Myers Park Speech and Debate Team has a longstanding tradition of excellence, and we are glad to see that interest is still strong. Please take the time to become acquainted with the website; we suggest starting with the History page to get acquainted with the traditions of the Speech and Debate team since its inception in 1965.
We also hope that you click the link at the top of the page which we have especially created for prospective students. Accessing this page will allow you to sign up for updates by E-Mail, including information about upcoming interest meetings for different events, and more.
If you have any questions at all, please feel free to contact the coaches by E-Mail. Mr. West can be reached at a.west@cms.k12.nc.us, and Mr. Kline at jason.kline@cms.k12.nc.us. In addition, Roshan and Lucas, this year’s co-presidents, would be willing to answer any questions you may have, from a student’s point of view. Specific contact information can be found on the contact page.
